UAE conditions are anything but normal for a transmission. Constant heat, heavy traffic, and frequent short trips all push fluid temperatures higher and break it down faster. Why heat is the real enemy

Independent technicians generally recommend changing this fluid around the 60,000 to 80,000 km mark regardless of what the sticker says, since fresh fluid is far cheaper than a rebuilt gearbox.

Signs your fluid is overdue

• Fluid that looks dark brown or black instead of red or pink
• A burnt smell when checking the dipstick
• Rougher or delayed gear shifts
• Slight slipping under acceleration

Any of these mean it’s time to have the fluid checked, even if you’re not yet at your usual mileage.
